Christopher Bolkcom: June 13, 1962 - May 1, 2009
Chris was a Specialist in Military Aviation at the Congressional Research Service (CRS), in the Library of Congress. At CRS, he performed non-partisan, objective research and analysis for Congress. His work included studies, briefings, reports and congressional testimony on the role of airpower in the counter insurgency operations, protecting commercial aircraft from shoulder-fired missiles, military aviation safety, and more... The light of his life were his two young children Jessica and Maxwell; Chris is survived by them, their mother Mary Anne Alexander; his parents, Gene and Ann Bolkcom; his sister, Elizabeth Matteson; his brother, Bill Bolkcom; and his nephew, Tristin Matteson. |
Holly (Smith) Titus: October 5, 1962 - March 12, 2009 Holly passed away peacefully from cancer surrounded by loving family and friends. Holly is survived by her husband Larry of 26 years, 5 children and 7 grand-children. She lived in Havelock, SC where she was active in Little League and Babe Ruth teams. She was a tireless supporter of her children, family and friends. |
Brian Tostenson: July 8, 1962 - April 3, 1996 Brian died from leukemia. His relatives wrote: "God saw that he was getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around him and He whispered, "Come with me." With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and slowly fade away. Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best." |

Dwight Widseth: February 28, 1962 - February 17, 1981 Dwight died in a plane crash when another plane collided with his. He was studying at the University of North Dakota - Grand Forks to become a pilot. A tower dedication & ceremonial tree planting took place in October 1989 at Mark Andrew's International Airport in memory of his name. |
